IS NO REALITY EXCEPT THE ONE CONTAINED WITHIN US. THAT IS WHY SO MANY PEOPLE LIVE SUCH AN UNREAL LIFE. THEY TAKE THE IMAGES OUTSIDE OF THEM FOR REALITY AND NEVER ALLOW THE WORLD WITHIN TO ASSERT ITSELF. Hermann Hesse
EVERTHING JUST HAPPENS. NOBODY DOES ANYTHING. MAN IS LIKE A RIVER THAT FOLLOWS THE COURSE OF LEAST RESISTANCE. MAN IS IN THE FULL SENSE OF THE WORD A MINIATURE UNIVERSE. George Gurdjieff
YOU CANNOT SOLVE PROBLEMS WITH THE SAME LEVEL OF CONSCIOUSNESS THAT CREATED THEM. TIME IS RELATIVE TO THE PERCEIVER AND WITHOUT THE PERCEIVER THERE IS NO TIME. THERE IS ETERNITY. Albert Einstein

The fact is that at an early age in our lives we construct a persona which we think of as “me”, also known as the ego, the psyche or the self..

Psychologically, the mind is bound by the past. It creates an image, the psyche/self/ego. It operates through belief, opinion, conformity, identification, imitation, habit, conditioning. We must learn to die, psychology in order to be who we really are. It consists of memories, experiences, recollections, images, fantasies, which bring about feelings of guilt, shame, regret, longing, disappointment, anger.

The mystery of life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.

If man were truly free there would be no reason to talk of freedom. Awakening to consciousness sets man free and from then on he can no longer be caught in illusion. Thought cannot free itself from the ego, the self, the state of duality. It can only create another self, another “I”. In the process of destroying the “you”, you are creating another “you”.

“The Way to Nowhere”

About

“The Way to Nowhere” is a spiritual and philosophical journey based on my memoirs.

These memoirs are a vehicle for the spiritual and philosophical insights which came to me throughout my life, as well as my fortuitous meetings with remarkable men and women who have taken a similar path to my own.
